Hub
What is Hub?
Genspark Hub is a centralized workspace for managing your projects with shared context. Upload files once and they're available across all conversations. Set custom instructions to guide how Genspark responds. Organize related projects together—no need to repeat context or re-upload files. Ideal for ongoing work like research, content creation, product development, and collaboration.
Work with your team: Invite members to your Hub. Everyone can access the same files, reference previous conversations, and pick up work on any project seamlessly.

Feature Guide
Projects in Hub
You can find all projects within this Hub in "Recent Tasks" on the main page
Cross-Project Context
Projects within the same Hub share conversation history—reference any previous project in this Hub, and Genspark automatically retrieves and applies relevant history
Use Cases:
- Iterative research: "Generate a competitor analysis based on last week's market research project"
- Meeting follow-up: "Draft an action plan referencing yesterday's meeting notes project"
- Continuous updates: "Update Q4 forecast based on Q3 analysis project conclusions"
- Knowledge reuse: "Design new product features using insights from customer interview project"
Project Management
Organize projects across Hubs in three ways:
- From within a Project: Click "⋯" in the top right and select "Add to Hub", "Change Hub", or "Remove from Hub"
- From Task List: Open Task List in the top left, click "⋯" on the project to manage its Hub assignment
- From Hub main page: Hover over a project in "Recent Tasks", click "⋯" to move it to another Hub or remove it
Note: Each project can belong to only one Hub at a time
Hub Files
Click "Files" to add files from your computer or AI Drive
- Supported: Documents (doc, docx, pdf, md), code (html, py, json), presentations (ppt, pptx), spreadsheets (xlsx, csv), images (png, jpg, jpeg, webp)
- Not supported: Audio, video, compressed files
- Limits: 100 files per Hub, 10MB per file
Hub automatically parses file content and references it during conversations
Best Practices
1. Use Descriptive Filenames: brand_guidelines_2024.pdf instead of document1.pdf
2. Keep Files Minimal: Too many files increase credit consumption
3. Specify Files in Prompts: "Generate a report based on Q4_sales_data.xlsx"
Custom Instructions
Set work instructions that apply to all projects in the Hub:
- Specify focus topics or domains
- Define tone, style, or response format
- Explain team terminology or company concepts
- Set file usage priority
Best Practices:
- Test Before Finalizing — Verify with prompts first
- List Non-Negotiable Rules — E.g., "All marketing copy must include a disclaimer"
- Provide Style Examples — Show ideal output format
- Define Proprietary Terms — E.g., "Sparkle = Q4 product launch codename"

FAQ
Q: Why is the Hub file size limit 10MB? What if my file is too large to upload?
The 10MB limit helps you save credits and ensures better results. Large files consume excessive credits and often produce poor-quality analysis.
If your file is too large:
- Extract only the relevant sections
- Summarize the content before uploading
- Split into smaller focused files
Q: How many projects can a Hub contain?
There's no strict limit on the number of projects per Hub. Performance depends on search results, not total project count.
Q: Can I download or export files from a Hub?
Yes. Click "Files" on the Hub homepage, hover over the file you want, and click to download it.
Q: Is there a time limit on Hub file storage?
No. Hub provides persistent file storage with no time limit. Files remain accessible indefinitely. Limits are 100 files per Hub and 10MB per file.
