Feature Guide

Super Agent — Inbox Triage

The Super Agent automatically categorizes your emails by importance so you can skip the scroll and focus on what matters.

Category What it means
Needs You Emails requiring your action — urgent, time-sensitive, or directly addressed to you
Upcoming Today Calendar invites and scheduled events (meetings, calls, etc.)
FYI Worth knowing about, but no response needed
Other Newsletters, ads, subscriptions, and other low-priority messages

Each email is summarized so you can understand it without opening it. The Super Agent also flags attachments, suggests follow-up actions (like drafting a reply or reading an attachment), and maintains a task history.

AI Write — Draft Emails with GenMail

GenMail drafts replies that match your personal writing style, learned by Email Brain. You stay in control of every message — GenMail learns from edits you make to drafts, and the more you use it, the more accurate your voice match becomes.

Action How it works
Generate a draft AI writes a first pass based on email context and your voice
Adjust tone Ask it to be "more professional," "shorter," "friendlier," etc.
Give specific instructions e.g., "acknowledge receipt and ask for the deadline"

You review and approve AI-drafted replies before they send.

Skills — Pre-Built AI Actions

Skill What it does
Morning Brief Summarizes your inbox for the day
Catch Me Up Summarizes what you missed (after time away, weekends, etc.)
Organize Inbox Sorts and categorizes your messages
Find It For Me Searches your email history using natural language

Example — Morning Brief: gives you a daily triage — a quick summary of what came in overnight, what needs attention, and what you can safely skip. It's designed to be the first thing you check so you can prioritize your day in minutes instead of scrolling through dozens of emails.

Note: Skills consume credits but can be turned off.

Schedule Send

Write an email now, send it later. Pick a specific date and time for delivery. Scheduled emails appear in a dedicated Scheduled folder where you can review or cancel them before they go out.

Calendar

GenMail includes a unified calendar that combines events from your connected Gmail and Outlook accounts.

Feature Details
Create events Click and drag (desktop) or long-press (mobile)
RSVP tracking See attendee responses at a glance
AI booking Super Agent can automatically book events to your calendar

Email Signatures

GenMail supports custom email signatures. Create a new signature or import your existing one from Gmail or Outlook.

The Email Brain — Your AI Profile

The Email Brain tab shows everything GenMail has learned about you:

  • Your identity and workplace
  • Your writing voice and reply style
  • Your frequent contacts and relationship context
  • Your active projects and conversations

If it gets something wrong: click the Fix button to correct any inference. The AI updates its memory and adjusts future behavior accordingly. The more you correct, the better it gets.

Privacy and Security

GenMail connects to your Gmail and Outlook accounts using OAuth 2.0. You sign in through your email provider's own login screen. GenMail never sees or stores your email password.

Provider Authorization Method
Gmail Google OAuth 2.0
Outlook Microsoft OAuth 2.0

You can revoke GenMail's access at any time from your Google or Microsoft account settings without affecting your email or Genspark account.

Where your emails live: GenMail is a client, not a storage layer. Your emails stay in Gmail and Outlook — GenMail reads and writes through their APIs but does not maintain a separate copy of your mailbox on its own servers.

What stays in your email provider What GenMail stores
All emails, attachments, folders Your Email Brain profile (writing style, contacts, patterns)
Sent mail history Contact list
Scheduled send emails
Calendar events

Notifications

GenMail sends a system notification when new mail arrives, so you can stay on top of your inbox without keeping the app open. This works on both desktop (Mac / Windows) and mobile (iOS / Android).

Tip: Make sure GenMail has notification permissions enabled at the system level:

  • iOS: Settings → GenMail → Notifications
  • Android: Settings → Apps → GenMail → Notifications
  • Mac: System Settings → Notifications → GenMail
  • Windows: Settings → System → Notifications → GenMail
